ضناني الشَّوق و ازدادت شجوني
و كثر الدَّمع حرَّق جفوني
من الِّلي حبَّهم قلبي نسوني
و لا حتَّى بكلمه يذكروني

تِناسوني و انا قلبي معاهم
و جافوني و انا وافي بهواهم
و لا فكَّرت مرَّه في جفاهم
و إيش أسباب هجرِي يهجروني

أنا قلبي عليهم كم تعذَّب
و من نار الهوى يصلى و يتعب
فهل هذا جزا يا ناس من حب
و يكفي بس تعذيب إرحموني

أبات الَّليل مِتألم و ساهِر
عديم النَّوم للأحباب ناظر
يزوروني زياره جبر خاطر
عساهم من عذابي ينقِذوني

My Longing Calls Me

My longing has weakened me and my sorrows have intensified,
and the many tears have burned my eyelids,
from the one whose love my heart had forgotten,
and who has not even remembered me with a word

They forgot me, but my heart is with them,
and they abandoned me, yet I was loyal to their whim,
and I did not consider their abandonment once,
and what are the reasons for my abandonment that they would abandon me?

How my heart has tormented itself for them,
and from the fire of passion it is tormented and afflicted,
Is this the repayment, O my beloved, for love,
the torture is enough so have mercy on me.

I spend the night in pain and sleepless,
deprived of slumber, at the beloved I gaze,
They visit me with a visit to please me,
May they save me from my torment.
