ذق ما يذوقـه حـبيـبا كان متــولّـه

عتاب قلبي على الهجران وعتابي
عليـك يا بو رمـــوش وقــذلــة هـلّه

لا تسأل الناس عني لأنك ادرابي
ولا تـذكر الشـوق لا كثـره ولا قـلّه

أن كان قلبك الى من جيت هلابي
بعد البطا فانت قلبي كنت محتلّه

أعطـيتني بعض ودّك لكن الغابي
أعطيته لشخص ما يستاهله والله

ما سامحك يالغلا والشوق غلابي
غدرت بي بعد ما خذت الغـلا كله

بعلّمك عن سبب واحد من اسبابي
يدعو إلى الحزن واللي يسألك قله

ما زوّد الحزن إلا غدر الأصحابي
يا ليت قلبي حجــر أو ليتهم قـلّـــه

هاجر يا أول غرامي وآخر أحبابي
أنا عــزيـز ما يـرضـي حبّـــه يذلّـه

سيفي يقص الحجر من قو مضرابي

Oh, the owner of abandonment, what has your abandonment done to me?
Shame on you before God, be gentle with the servants of God.

My bones and clothes have wasted away from abandonment,
If it were to cover my body, it would not cover my suffering.

Tomorrow, you will stop at my door out of longing,
Your soul will be consumed by longing and deprivation.

If you lose your patience, I will hold on to mine,
Taste what a lover who was infatuated tastes.

My heart reproaches abandonment, and my reproach
Is upon you, oh boy with flirtatious eyelashes and alluring glances.

Do not ask people about me, because you know me,
And do not mention longing, neither much nor little.

If your heart belongs to someone else when you come to me,
After being so slow, you occupied my heart.

You gave me some of your love, but the fool
Gave it to someone who, by God, did not deserve it.

My dear, my longing will not forgive you,
You betrayed me after taking all of my love.

I will teach you about one reason from among my reasons
That calls for sadness, and whoever asks you, tell them:

Nothing adds to sadness except the betrayal of friends.
Oh, if only my heart were a stone, or if they were few!

Abandon me, oh my first love and last love,
I am too dear to be humiliated by love.

My sword can cut stone with the strength of my blows,
But I do not use it against the weak.
