Boss

Our home is located in this land.
The rice field and the farm here.
But there's something tempting.
The knowledgeable boss told me that there's a huge factory.
They want to buy the land.
And I'll get to work in that factory.
The life I've always known.
The clock never ruled over time.
I relied on the chickens, and led the buffaloes down the road.
Stepping outside into the vibrant rice field.
The mud that the buffaloes wallowed in, that I once got lost in.
Now, our way of life is changing.
From being relaxed, to becoming rushed.
Working in shifts, with set times.
My farmer's outfit has been replaced with a uniform.
The familiar scent of the earth and grass.
Replaced by chemicals and the fumes from the factory. My friend has fallen asleep and won't wake up.
The boss said that it just got sick and died...
