I left the village five or six years ago,

We used to swim in the Lamprong River,
We used to row a boat and gather Ipomoea flowers,
We used to wade through the mud and water to catch crabs and fish,
I remember it all clearly, from when we were little until we grew up, I almost burst into tears,
My heart sank when I lost you,
I heard that you had become a nun,
I missed you so much, my dear,
I had been tricked and deceived by the evil of the world,
I barely survived, and when I came back, I wanted to visit you,
But I was afraid to show my tears to a nun,
