แม่ยอมลำบาก
เพราะอยากให้ลูกสบาย
เหนื่อยกายเหนื่อยใจ

นอนดึกตื่นเช้า
กลางวันเอาใจลูกค้า

แม่อยากเห็นใบปริญญา
ที่แลกมาจากเหงื่อคนจน
เห็นลูกสู้แท้
ใจแม่ก็สุขเหลือล้น
ไม่ยอมให้ลูกอายคน
สู้ทนหาเงินส่งเรียน
สิ้นเดือนเหมือนดั่งกับแม่สิ้นใจ
บางคราวไม่พอใช้จ่าย
ยืมเงินรายวันหมุนเวียน
แลกด้วยน้ำตา
จึงได้เงินมาเป็นค่าเรียน
หวังว่าลูกคงพากเพียร
สมกับที่แม่ตั้งตา
