みょうに 色っぽいね

ぼくはぼくで 趺坐(あぐら)をかいて
きみの頬と耳は まっかっか
あゝ風流だなんて
ひとつ俳句でも ひねって

部屋の灯を すっかり消して
風呂あがりの髪 いい香り
上弦の月だったっけ
ひさしぶりだね 月見るなんて

ぼくはすっかり 酔っちまって
きみの膝枕に うっとり
もう飲みすぎちまって
きみを抱く気にも なれないみたい

In your summer kimono and with a flower in your hair,
You lift the sake bottle
"Would you like some more?" you ask.

You look so alluring.

I sit in the traditional Japanese style,
Your face and ears red with drink.
"What a pleasure this is," I think,
And I try to compose a haiku.

We turn down the lights.
Your hair smells sweet after your bath.
The moon is in its waxing phase,
The first time I've seen it for a long time.

I've had too much to drink,
And I drift off to sleep in your lap.
I've had so much to drink
That I can't even make love to you.
