现在时间凌晨5点35分……

现在的时间是凌晨的5点35分
终于十首歌都唱完了
刚刚大家听到的《只送你十一朵玫瑰》
就是这个唱片里面最后一首歌
20个小时之前
我还在这个录音室的同一个地方
在唱这个歌
后来唱完了大概到七点多的时候
然后 我就回去休息了 睡觉
然后 今天下午我们就开始在这边混音
终于 这个唱片最后的一首歌
混音的工作也都做完了
按照以前的经验来讲呢
这个时候应该是有两种可能
一个是呢去买一支香槟回来大家庆祝一下
因为唱片终于做完了
总是觉得做唱片是一个很艰巨的工作
那另外一个就是说可能钱不够啦
省点钱就算了
所以呢 赶快就闪人啦 就跑了这样子
今天呢也不例外
今天应该就是想要走的了啦 :)
可是刚好要走的时候呢
我准备要收拾所有的我们的一些歌谱啦
很意外的这样子
当我把这个谱放回去我的包包的时候
我发现自己的一个小型的录音机
当然这个录音机一直陪伴着我
没有什么好意外的
可是因为好奇的关系我就把录音机拿出来
我就按下去听听看
到底录音机上面有些什么东西
很巧呢！
这个录音带上面刚好记载了
在这个唱片 这一次的工作过程里面
一些写歌的片段
我马上觉得非常感触
很多在做这个唱片的过程
一些很难忘的片段
都一一浮现在脑海里面
当然我觉得我是一个非常幸运的人
有很多人都可以分享到
我非常非常愉快的工作成果
可是呢 一张唱片 一张完整的唱片
就是从这样的片段开始的...

It's 5:35 AM right now...

It's 5:35 in the morning right now,
and we've finally finished recording all ten songs.
The last song you just heard, "Only Give You Eleven Roses,"
is the final track on this album.
Twenty hours ago,
I was in this same spot in the recording studio,
singing that very song.
After we finished recording, around 7 am or so,
I went home to rest and sleep.
Then, this afternoon, we started mixing here.
Finally, the mixing for the last song on the album
is also complete.
Based on past experience,
there are usually two possibilities at this point.
One is to go buy a bottle of champagne to celebrate,
because the album is finally done.
Making an album always feels like a monumental task.
The other possibility is that we might be short on money,
so we'd just save some and
quickly get out of here, you know, just run away.
Today is no exception.
Today, I think we're leaning towards leaving :)
But just as we were about to go,
I was getting ready to pack up all our music sheets,
and quite unexpectedly,
as I was putting the sheets back in my bag,
I found my small recorder.
Of course, this recorder has always been with me,
so there's nothing surprising about that.
But out of curiosity, I took it out
and pressed play to see
what was on it.
And wouldn't you know it!
This tape just happened to contain
snippets of the songwriting process
from this album.
I was immediately filled with emotion.
So many unforgettable moments
from making this album
came flooding back to me.
Of course, I feel incredibly lucky
that so many people can share in
the joy of my work.
But a complete album, a whole album,
starts with fragments like these...
