这是一个盲人影院

银幕上长满了潮湿的耳朵

有一个孩子 九岁时失明
常年生活在盲人影院
从早到晚听着那些电影
听不懂地方靠想象来补充

他想象自己学会了弹琴
学会了唱歌 还能写诗
背着吉他走遍了四方
在街头卖艺 在酒吧弹唱

他去了上海苏州杭州
南京长沙还有昆明
腾格里的沙漠阿拉善的戈壁
那曲草原和拉萨圣城

他爱过一个姑娘 但姑娘不爱他
他恨过一个姑娘 那姑娘也恨他
他整夜整夜的喝酒 朗诵着号叫
我看到这一代最杰出的头脑毁于疯狂

他想着上帝到底存在不存在
他想着鲁迅与中国人的惰性
他越来越茫然 越来越不知所终
找不到个出路要绝望发疯

他最后还是回到了盲人影院
坐在老位子上听那些电影
四面八方的座椅翻涌
好像潮水淹没了天空

There was a boy who went blind at nine
Lived in a blind cinema for many years
Listening to those movies from morning till night
Filling in the gaps with his imagination

He imagined he had learned to play the piano
Learned to sing and could write poetry
Carried his guitar and traveled far and wide
Busking in the streets, playing and singing in bars

He went to Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou
Nanjing, Changsha and Kunming
The Tengger Desert, the Alashan Gobi
Naqu草原 and the holy city of Lhasa

He loved a girl, but she didn't love him
He hated a girl, and she hated him too
He drank all night long, declaiming, howling
I have seen the sharpest minds of my generation destroyed by madness

He wondered if there really is a God
He thought about Lu Xun and the lethargy of the Chinese people
He became increasingly bewildered, increasingly lost
Couldn't find a way out, despaired and went mad

He finally returned to the blind cinema
Sat in his old seat and listened to those movies
The rows of seats undulated all around
Like a tide that swamped the sky
