上善門外新轎閨秀撩簾望

歌柳詞起私塾小童窗外望
黃鸝兩隻叫得心好癢
說書小巷士紳官吏斜眼望
三教九流混成這一淌

The Rainbow Bridge bustles with a throng.
Porter ahead, don't block the way,
On my little donkey, I stretch to see,
The Western camel train, so long,
Don't stop for the new wine's fragrance, dear.
Around the mule caravan, there's a gambling den,
Dice cups shake, six dots appear, I'm the banker here.
Old plays, old tunes, on the stage, a warrior with green plumes,
A resounding aria fills Bianjing's air.
Hairpins and powder, fragrance in the breeze,
Outside Shangshan Gate, a new sedan, a young lady peeks with ease,
Mother hurries, holding an umbrella to shield.
Willow songs and poems, a young boy at the schoolhouse window, his heart revealed,
Two orioles singing, his heart filled with yearning.
Storytelling alley, gentry and officials glance with a sneer,
Three teachings and nine professions, all mingle here.
