Unfinished Novel

My love, you and I are like two untitled chapters,
We met briefly in a haze, then bid farewell in confusion,
We floated aimlessly, then left behind the memories,
Bits and pieces, fragments,
From which to complete a novel still unwritten.

Sometimes we loved, sometimes we parted,
Seeking twists and turns in the complexity, as if it could never end,
Only in the blessing is it said that the years may pass like the wind,
But I search my heart for that page.

My love, your half still moves my heart,
But still I refuse, but still I must,
I would rather leave memories, I would rather leave traces,
Dots and dashes, forever unyielding,
With which to patch together a novel still unfinished.
