Sleep Paralysis

I'm used to
sleeping in the library's second-floor magazine area

details, sometimes even hearing laughter clearly
I can't tell if it's a dream or real; it's insane
Running in the huge art gallery
Trying hard to catch every second
Saliva keeps eroding my gums
I open my eyes and I'm experiencing sleep paralysis
I often hear all sorts of legends
Why do they have to come and haunt me?
Maybe science can provide an explanation
But I'm now detached from reality
In order to break free, I'm getting increasingly paranoid

This has troubled me since I was little
I'm on the verge of a breakdown and about to explode
