熱く欲を描けた芯が折れた
身を削り何度か立ち直れた
尖り過ぎて人を傷付けた
丸くなるまで身を粉するさ
決して隠す事出来ぬ筆跡
なのに何度も消しゴムで消して
気持ちには形が無いのに
言葉を文字にし白紙を汚し
誰も読めぬ文字で書き殴った
グシャグシャに丸めてビリビリに破った
ハマりきらぬ字余りのなまり
周りから空回りばかり
先に余白が無くなるか、それか先に描く事が無くなるか削れない程短くなっちまえば筆箱から居なくなるさ

白い紙の上に黒い足跡と想いの丈遺して
時に戸惑い時には迷い投げかけた問いの答えなんて見つかんないままで
遠い道のり今宵足取りは重い吹く風は強い
いつもこうして声にならない声ばかり掻き集めた。

Paper Trail

My fervent desires have given way to a broken spirit,
I've bled and risen time and again,
My sharp edges have left their mark,
I'll grind myself to dust until I'm smooth.
My writings, indelible, yet I erase them,
Though my emotions have no form,
I write words and stain this blank page.
In illegible scrawl, I've spilled my soul,
Crumpled and torn, I've tossed it away.
My words overflow, but their meaning is lost,
All I hear is the echo of my own empty words.
I spin in circles, trapped in my own despair,
Will the page run out of space, or will my pen run dry? Maybe if I wear it down to a nub, I'll finally find peace.

On paper white, I leave my footprints and my thoughts,
Sometimes lost, sometimes uncertain, my questions remain unanswered.
The journey is long, my steps heavy, the wind relentless.
Always, it's these voiceless cries that I gather.
