As I slept in my mother's arms,
I was raised by the moonlight,
Learning to sell firewood on rainy streets.

In the blink of an eye, I became a student,
Soaring high but fearing to learn well,
Drifting like a swallow, this young warrior does not understand.

I lazed about until I was thirty,
The world is too cruel,
Of ten great ambitions, nine have no direction,
And when I notice, I am already at my wit's end.

Kongming lanterns rise to a height of ten thousand feet,
Life's ten thousand worries are hard to turn into sentiment.
Kongming lanterns are not high enough,
I write down my wishes and ask heaven to repay my years.

The road is long and the pace is too unsteady.

These two shoulders bear an unpaid debt,
There are no signs along the way,
Drifting like a swallow, I can only migrate far away.

Treading through the snow, I see no plum blossoms,
Giving up is too easy,
On the road again, soon a lifetime will pass,
Where are the dreams?
