どうしてなかなかそうもいかない

Fluctuating

I want to just float along easily,
But why is that so difficult?
Annoying pebbles roll,
Unwelcomed, into my path.

I thought I had skillfully cleared them,
Or so I thought,
But after a while, it's the same old thing,
Tripping over stones.

Time and place change, but I'm being tested (by someone).
I don't grow (change) much, which makes me laugh.
I know I have to overcome it sometime, but
I can't seem to move forward.

Tears drip down,
Tears that come from overflowing emotions that I can't hold back.
Time slips away,
And such kindness feels so good at times like this.

Perhaps it's necessary
For my mind to take a break.
After a while, I might see
A path that I didn't see before.

Challenges come in different forms (from someone).
When is the deadline? I should set one soon.
I'll watch carefully and work hard.
That's where I'll start.

But I need to keep going,
