微雪鹤氅获桐于芒山
冰泉老其根天月浴其枝

孤山为舟春云为棹遨游波澜
时有煌煌列星
生于幽木龙潭
夜如何其斯琴独抚万壑千山

白鹤鸣于皋蛰虫动于野
思彼良朋中心孔洽
有酒有酒置于高台

A Hermit of Old

In the distant south, a hermit once dwelled,
Through misty snows, he gathered paulownia from Mount Mang,
Iced springs nourished its roots, and moonlight bathed its boughs,
Day and night he labored, carving his instrument,
As southern winds imbued its strings,
Amidst lush magnolias and flowing spring waters,
Suddenly, a cloud-borne azure sparrow,
His celestial robes adorned, he rode a phoenix,
A solitary mountain, his boat; spring clouds, his oars, he sailed the boundless expanse,
Stars blazed brightly,
Born from a secluded tree, a dragon's lair,
In the dead of night, he played his solitary tune,
