Reflection of a Mannequin in a Store Window

As another sunny day reaches its end, my mood is at odds with the weather
I feel unable to take even one step forward, though the scenery slowly makes its way home

I saw an old friend in the crowd, but I quickly turned the corner to hide from them
There are those who are doing well and those who are not, and of course I am one of the latter

I don't want to look at myself, but I can't seem to look away
In the store window, my reflection overlaps the mannequins of a brand name
A transparent shadow of an existence

The happiness that I took for granted has vanished, only now do I understand its true value
I am unable to suppress my aimless frustration
I bring upon myself nothing but bad luck
