少しだけ大人になって
僕にもわかったことを

"生きる"ってことは
何か忘れて行くこと
頭 パンクしないように
過去を間引いてる

秘密にしてたカブトムシの木とか...
友達のために ずっと待った純粋さ
今は想像の絵なんか上手く描けないよ
もっとまじめにやろうと思って
努力していたら
誰も彼も ただの大人になった
昨日までの記憶だけで
チャレンジしてはみても
今そこにある問いは 初めての難問だ
できなくても当たり前
明日はもっと難しい
イイカゲンだったら きっと 楽に生きられる
何もきっちりしなくていいんだ
何が正しいか?
やってみなけりゃわからないのさ すべて

The Recommendation of Iikagen

As I became a little more mature,
I realized some things that I'd like to share
I've jotted them down in my notebook
"Living" means
Letting go of the past
To avoid mental exhaustion,
We have to prune our memories
After many failed romances and many heartaches,
The pain gradually fades away
The torment disappears with time
The memories of the past
Can guide our actions,
But they can't help us overcome the obstacles ahead
Things may seem the same,
But each day is new
Being "Iikagen" (uncertain or vague) is probably the best approach
The problem is forgetting what's truly important,
Like the secret hiding place for my prized stag beetle...
Or the purity of waiting for a friend to show
I can't seem to conjure up those vivid images anymore
I used to be so serious and try so hard,
But now, I've come to realize that
Everyone else has simply become an adult
The memories of the past
May inspire us to take on challenges,
But the questions we face today are like nothing we've seen before
It's okay if we don't have all the answers,
Tomorrow will bring even greater challenges
Being "Iikagen" would make life much easier
Don't sweat the little things
What is the "correct" path?
The only way to find out is through experience,
The memories of the past
