春の陽射しこぼれて

少し眩しい並木道
手を翳して歩いた
あの人と私は
帰る時はいつでも
遠廻りしながら
ポプラを数えた
4月になるとここへ来て
卒業写真めくるのよ
あれほど誰かを
愛せやしないと
誕生日にはサンテグジュペリ
ふいに贈ってくれた
一行おきに好きだよと
青いペンで書いてた
あの頃の二人は
話しさえ出来ずに
そばにいるだけでも
何かを感じた
4月になるとここへ来て
卒業写真めくるのよ
あれほど誰かを
愛せやしないと
4月が過ぎて都会へと
旅立ってゆくあの人の
素敵な生き方
うなずいた私

Through the gaps in the green trees,
The spring sunlight spills.

On the slightly dazzling tree-lined street,
I walked, shielding my eyes.
That person and I,
Whenever we went home,
We always took the long way,
Counting the poplar trees.
When April comes, I come here
To look through our graduation photos.
I can't imagine
Loving anyone that much again.
For my birthday, you suddenly gave me
A book by Saint-Exupéry.
On every other line, you wrote "I love you"
With a blue pen.
Back then, the two of us
Couldn't even talk,
But just being together
Made me feel something.
When April comes, I come here
To look through our graduation photos.
I can't imagine
Loving anyone that much again.
After April passes, that person will
Leave for the city.
I nodded in agreement with
His wonderful way of life.
