I watch the half moon as it slowly sets into the sunlight
A new day begins, the oxygen a little cold
Listening to music, I gaze silently into the mirror, erasing my weariness once more
Just like any other sunny day, everyone's got work to do
I'll hide away in some building, and get distracted planning the next task

Sometimes I'm so tired that I glance out the window, several versions of myself down below
Who would have thought that at this moment, I'd be the one acting like a fool
Even when I work overtime, I have to get off work, the streetlights warm enough to slow my pace
The world is so vast, but I'm content to follow this path
As night falls, the cacophony of television slowly fades
All of humanity turns off their lights and goes to sleep
I stare at the ceiling, wondering how old I am today
I turn my head and try to fall asleep

Live each ordinary day to the fullest, one day at a time
I'll force my body to keep moving forward
I'll learn to simplify things, and be optimistic
Then I'll spend years being blissfully happy
Why should I dwell on the past? I don't want to keep mourning
I'll use my daily grind to erase the past
I'm just happy to be alive, no need to be afraid of drastic change

I love today, such an ordinary day
Let the warmest sky fill my vision
I'll practice being nonchalant, I'll know how to be happy
Then I'll let joy infect me in a daze
I'll learn to smile in public, and hide my sadness from others
I'll use the fakest facade to conceal my past
I can survive in mediocrity, and avoid an epic life
