A Letter to Myself

I really believed I could achieve great love and show off myself,
I was greedy and wished for endless wonderful parties,
I wrote a letter to hold on to my great ambitions and to remind myself,
I wrote down my many poetic and delicate thoughts.

I wondered how old I was when I wrote 'I am not afraid of shedding tears'
I wondered if I would ever get tired, so I listed ten great feats in ten lines.

Let me break out into a new world and show my true personality,
If I want to love, I will definitely find a loving partner.
Ten years suddenly passed, and I realized that time is as indifferent as water,
Even if my handwriting has not changed and the paper is not wrinkled,
I just want to laugh, and yet I feel a dim mood,
I silently read it from the beginning, and each sentence is too straightforward,
It is now shattered, one by one.

I was blessed to be able to travel the world, how is it that I am still enslaving myself?
I am not willing to accept the many missed opportunities every day,
This letter is like a bright mirror, this letter can help me understand myself,
I wrote it down, but how is it that I gave up on my ideals?
