Under the Sun

There's simply no seatbelt here, darling,
In my uncle's car, in the passenger seat.
I'm seven and the Nissan has been his since the seventies.
I look at him with a wide smile on my face,
Because Alex looks very cool.
Alex lives in the pool house
Not far from his pub. And doesn't get up until 2 PM.

Other Swabians go to work, Alex goes to play pool.
He opens the bar sometime, Alex is a chiller.
But his demeanor so confident, girlfriend 20 years younger.
Alex is a ladykiller, she looks like Claudia Schiffer.
And she likes to listen to him when he philosophizes,
And he's pretty good at it, studied the shit.
Doesn't give a fuck about any achievement and so he shows me too,
It can be so easy, if you just try it.

I choose each step carefully over the rotten planks,
Because under the deck of the pool house there are now thorns and brambles.

And now he's having affairs through all the marriages of these squares.
But they hate him, yet they come to his bar in the evening,
Because he lives the antithesis of their working day.
Secretly they are envious that he did everything that is forbidden,
Because when they were working, he was still sleeping.

He was always a bit thin, but looks different now,
Shuffles in the clinic park to the bench next to the fir tree room.
