가끔의 방탕과 시험에도 난 이겨내며
내 역사로 만들어냈고

비록 내 것이 아니지만 부모님의 손을 빌려
정성을 쏟아부었고

비록 다시 돌아오는 게 없었지만

Those youthful days when I chased my dreams so relentlessly.
When was it?
That distant time, so far gone now, it feels like another lifetime.

Back then, the Incheon Culture & Arts Center, the Munhak Stadium,
and Seonhak Bridge No. 1 were my playground, where I shaped my life.

To my friends who shared those precious times with me,
I gave them names similar to mine, and we chased our dreams together.
Tirelessly, we climbed hills, over and over, never losing heart.
While other friends indulged in alcohol, women, and fleeting pleasures,
I chased my dream, falling and scraping my knees,
but always getting back up and running again.

I was different, I dare say.
Reckless in my pursuit of dreams.
I never hesitated to argue with those who tried to hold me back.
I wasn't afraid of anyone who pointed fingers at me.
The laughter of those who mocked me didn't faze me.
I ran even though I couldn't see the finish line,
recording each accomplishment in my notebook.

Looking at my achievements, I comforted myself,
dreaming of what I would achieve next, my heart filled with excitement.
To get closer to my dreams, I lingered near them,
never letting any opportunity slip away.
My motto, "Opportunity only knocks once,"
has never been wrong.
I always strived to make the most of my abilities and every given opportunity.

I overcame occasional debauchery and trials,
making them part of my story.
I poured my heart and soul into the things I loved.
To repay those who believed in me,
even though it wasn't mine, I borrowed from my parents,
and dedicated myself completely.

Even though I didn't get anything in return,
I learned a bitter lesson about life.
While I still agree that people are the most important thing,
I don't cherish them as much as I did when I was younger.
I only trust myself, the Lord in heaven,
and my immediate family.

Still, if a situation moves my heart,
I will follow it, but I will also take responsibility.
The reason I haven't encountered a situation that requires my whole heart
is that I haven't experienced it yet.
Such a connection hasn't formed yet,
and this proves that I've become much more rational in my relationships.
Right?
