They were the fastest band I'd ever seen
No one in the crowd really cared for them
We were waiting for the Alley Cats to play
After a couple months I heard Kabuki Girl
On Rodney on the Roq late Sunday night
That was enough for me I hopped the bus
To licorice pizza and bought my all time favorite record

The next time I went to The Whiskey
It was DOA with Millions of Dead Cops
The latter band played faster than I could believe
But the Songs sounded the same and kinda sucked
Cept John Wayne was a nazi
And Joey Shithead was a drunk
Then John Macias beat some hippie to a pulp
Cause Having long hair was a mistake

The third time I went to the hospital
I needed 13 stitches in my head
I managed to catch about 6 songs of Ill Repute
Then some suicidal threw me into a post
My girlfriend started to cry cause we had to leave
Before DRI played 50 lousy songs
My blood stained shirt smelled of clove cigarettes
But it sure looked pretty cool after a wash

La première fois que j'ai vu les Descendents, ma chérie,
c'était le groupe le plus rapide que j'avais jamais vu.
Personne dans la foule ne s'intéressait vraiment à eux,
on attendait tous que les Alley Cats jouent.
Quelques mois plus tard, j'ai entendu Kabuki Girl,
sur Rodney on the Roq, tard un dimanche soir.
Ça m'a suffi, j'ai sauté dans le bus,
direction Licorice Pizza pour acheter mon disque préféré de tous les temps.

La fois suivante où je suis allé au Whiskey, ma belle,
c'était DOA avec Millions of Dead Cops.
Ce dernier groupe jouait plus vite que je ne pouvais l'imaginer,
mais les chansons se ressemblaient toutes et étaient plutôt nulles.
Sauf John Wayne was a nazi,
et Joey Shithead était ivre.
Puis John Macias a tabassé un hippie,
parce qu'avoir les cheveux longs était une erreur.

La troisième fois que je suis allé à l'hôpital, ma douce,
j'ai eu besoin de 13 points de suture à la tête.
J'ai réussi à voir environ 6 chansons d'Ill Repute,
puis un suicidaire m'a jeté contre un poteau.
Ma copine s'est mise à pleurer parce qu'on a dû partir
avant que DRI ne joue 50 chansons merdiques.
Mon t-shirt taché de sang sentait la cigarette aux clous de girofle,
mais il avait l'air plutôt cool après un lavage.
