Thomas Rhett got back to his roots a little bit, and back to a more simplistic way of living
And alot of that inspired "Country Again (Side A)" his new album
We're playing every song and talking to Thomas about all the songs on this album
And the next one I know people are gonna love, it is a collaboration with HARDY
And I feel like it's a tongue twister in the chorus
But Thomas talk to me about "Put It On Ice" featuring HARDY

"Put It On Ice" was one of those songs that
We started around 2 o'clock in the morning on the road
It was one of those times where you probably should go to bed
But you're still kinda on adrenaline from the show
And we just started singing whatever over any track that Matt Drag had brought up

And "Put It On Ice" was one of those titles that I'd had in my phone for a long time
And had no idea what it meant
So we just started just writing verse
I think we wrote 20 or 30 verses for that song
And then came up with a chorus, and when we finished it just felt like such a party
And the song morphed several times before you actually hear what actually made it on the record
Thanks to Jessie Fraser and Dan for kinda helping me reign that song in, and

HARDY and I have just talked about doing something on my record for a long time, and
I got to do something on his "Hixtape" record that he put out last year, and
It's fun when you get to flip flop those scenarios where they get to sing on your record, and uh
It's just one of those songs that when we finished I was like
"I wanna go play this live like tomorrow"
And so HARDY got on there and sang his vocal and it turned out really cool

Thomas Rhett ist ein bisschen zu seinen Wurzeln zurückgekehrt und zu einer einfacheren Lebensweise.
Und vieles davon hat "Country Again (Side A)", sein neues Album, inspiriert.
Wir spielen jeden Song und sprechen mit Thomas über alle Songs auf diesem Album.
Und der nächste, ich weiß, dass die Leute ihn lieben werden, ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit HARDY.
Und ich finde, es ist ein Zungenbrecher im Refrain.
Aber Thomas, sprich mit mir über "Put It On Ice" featuring HARDY.

"Put It On Ice" war einer dieser Songs, mit denen
wir um 2 Uhr morgens unterwegs angefangen haben.
Es war einer dieser Momente, in denen man wahrscheinlich besser ins Bett gehen sollte.
Aber man ist immer noch irgendwie auf Adrenalin von der Show.
Und wir fingen einfach an, irgendetwas über irgendeinen Track zu singen, den Matt Drag mitgebracht hatte.

Und "Put It On Ice" war einer dieser Titel, die ich schon lange in meinem Handy hatte.
Und ich hatte keine Ahnung, was er bedeutet.
Also fingen wir einfach an, Strophen zu schreiben.
Ich glaube, wir haben 20 oder 30 Strophen für diesen Song geschrieben.
Und dann haben wir uns einen Refrain ausgedacht, und als wir fertig waren, fühlte es sich einfach wie eine Party an.
Und der Song hat sich mehrmals verändert, bevor du tatsächlich hörst, was es auf die Platte geschafft hat.
Danke an Jessie Fraser und Dan, die mir geholfen haben, diesen Song zu zügeln, und

HARDY und ich haben schon lange darüber gesprochen, etwas auf meinem Album zu machen, und
ich durfte etwas auf seinem "Hixtape"-Album machen, das er letztes Jahr herausgebracht hat, und
es macht Spaß, wenn man diese Szenarien umdrehen kann, wo sie auf deinem Album singen dürfen, und ähm
es ist einfach einer dieser Songs, bei denen ich, als wir fertig waren, dachte:
"Ich will das morgen live spielen."
Und so kam HARDY dazu und sang seinen Gesangspart und es wurde wirklich cool.

Und wie cool wäre es, wenn du Thomas Rhett
bei einem seiner verschobenen Center Point Road Tour-Termine siehst und HARDY herauskommt
und sie diesen Song zusammen live singen?
Ich habe das Gefühl, der Ort würde einfach aufleuchten.
