Leaning against the bare concrete,

On stage,

My amp was turned off.

The silent guitar,
Still, I strummed it,
Continued to sing the music I wanted to make,
If you don't like it, just leave.
The rock I yearned for in my boyhood,

Wandering aimlessly through the crowds and streets,
What do the old newspapers dancing in the wind say?
The taxi I hailed refused to take me,
The guitar case on my shoulder feels unbearably heavy.

Standing, among the audience,
