Seit 98 leb ich hier, er im fernen Osten
Damals fiel es mir nicht schwer, als meine Mutter und ich
Wir stiegen ein in diesen Zug, im Kopf war Neuland in Sicht
Ich war so jung die Freude groß, ich hätte niemals gedacht
Nach ein paar Jahren kam ich ihn besuchen an seinem Grab

Als wir noch Kinder waren, hast du dich um mich gekümmert
Die gute heile Welt, irgendwann lag sie in Trümmern
Aus Respekt setz ich einen Punkt an dieser Stelle

Wieso, weshalb, warum? Ich geh nicht näher drauf ein
Ich denk mir nichts dabei, ich sitze da und rauch ein
Im Cockpit fertig für den Start ohne Pilotenschein
Ich fliege hoch zu dir, es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!
