天界まで届くだろう
ならばわが願いも
聞き届けたまえ 女神たちよ
この世を照らす至高
天使のように歌う
儚き 青春のため
満たされよ 銀盃に
神秘の美酒
緑濃く揺蕩って溢れるまで
女王さえ叶わずとも
追い縋った永久の若さ
消えぬ美貌を
枯れぬ命を
ただひとりのわが君へと
狂おしい 悦びよ！
造り出せ この樽に
霊薬の酒
闇の底鎮まって目覚めるだろう
蒸留の雫は薫り
幻の月に熟す
蔵に棲まうは
神か悪魔か
すでに老いしわれを生かせ
守られよ 銀盃の
禁忌の飛酒
球となり転がって留まるまで
喉元を滑り落ちて
血に染む酩酊の果て
目蓋は見よう
美の永遠を
けして触れ得ぬその肉体に

永劫わが愛を

Penitence of a Monk

Turning my back on the cathedral where hymns resound,
I descend again today
To a deep, sunless underground chamber,
The dwelling place of a single ray of hope.
I was once a recluse
Among alchemists.
I am left with
Their secret scriptures.
Create within this barrel
The elixir of life.
Until it glows golden and radiant,
A dream beyond the grasp of kings:
Eternal life.
Just one sip
For his lovely lips,
The castrato with cheeks like blue roses.
His pure voice
Ascends to the heavens.
Then answer my plea,
O goddesses.
The ultimate light that illuminates this world,
He who sings like an angel.
For his ephemeral youth,
Fill the silver goblet
With the mystical elixir.
Until it overflows, verdant and shimmering.
Though it eluded even queens,
I pursue eternal youth.
Imperishable beauty,
Endless life,
To my only lord.
Ecstasy! Madness!
Create within this barrel
The elixir of life.
The depths of darkness will stir and awaken.
The distilled drops are fragrant,
Ripening under the moon of illusions.
Who dwells in the storehouse?
God or demon?
Revive me, who am already aged.
Protect the silver goblet
Of forbidden liquid.
Until it forms a sphere and settles.
As it slides down the throat,
The intoxication culminates in blood.
My eyelids behold
The eternity of beauty,
In his untouchable flesh.
And so I offer,
My eternal love.
