Immerzu Gewichte.
Keinen Schimmer von Gedichten;
Blatt um Blatt vergeudet mit geritzter Akribie.

Mit den scharfen Zungenklingen
Musst du dann zur Strafe singen,
Wie von Sinnen binnenreimen, denkst, es wäre Kunst.
Händeringend klagen
Statt behändem Schwingenschlagen.
Wartend auf die Hebung in den Sphärendunst.

Und nun trägst du Sack und Asche,
Feste Knoten in dem Haar.
Du schmeckst Blut auf deiner Zunge,
Fliehst auf eigene Gefahr.
Heute bist du schon ein Junge,
Gestern warst du noch zu alt.
Untermalt von Blätterrascheln
Stolperst du aus deinem Wald.

Du willst endlich ohne Zaudern
Selbstverständlich lustvoll schaudern.
Doch du setzt auf weißen Blättern schwarze Blitze frei.
Willst bedenkenlos beleben,
Unbeschränkt dich bloß hingeben.
Doch statt Liebeslyrik erntest du nur Kritzelei.

Wenn die Musen dich nicht sehen,
In diffusem Licht vergehen:
Jedes Wort im Keim erstickt und unverdaut verfälscht.
Dir will keine Rose glücken
Bei dem großen Stachelpflücken.
Deine Stimme flüstert nur mehr Kauderwelsch.

Und nun trägst du Sack und Asche,
Feste Knoten in dem Haar.
Du schmeckst Blut auf deiner Zunge,
Fliehst auf eigene Gefahr.
Heute bist du schon ein Junge,
Gestern warst du noch zu alt.
Untermalt von Blätterrascheln
Stolperst du aus deinem Wald.

Siehst du die Blätter fallen?
Und lockt des Köders Duft?
Du wirst dich als Retter krallen
Und wirfst dich in die Luft.
Fühlst du in Intervallen?
Und bald erfolgt der Sturz.
Wie Nebel im Winter wallen.
Dein Herbst war viel zu kurz.

Und nun trägst du Sack und Asche,
Beides steht dir furchtbar gut.
Nein, du willst dich nicht verletzen,
Doch was bleibt dir, ohne Mut?
Du verbirgst dich vor den Netzen,
Während du die Blätter färbst.
Du entkommst nie ihren Maschen,
Und entkommst auch nie dem Herbst.

In Sackcloth and Ashes

What a heavy fate is life
And no weightless floating through the air
In the velvety shield of celestial ink poetry.
Always weights.
Not a shimmer of poems;
Leaf after leaf wasted with etched meticulousness.

With the sharp blade of your tongue
You must then sing as punishment,
As if possessed, you rhyme internally, thinking it is art.
Wringing your hands in lamentation
Instead of the nimble beating of wings.
Waiting for the elevation into the ethereal mist.

And now you wear sackcloth and ashes,
Tight knots in your hair.
You taste blood on your tongue,
Fleeing at your own risk.
Today you are already a boy,
Yesterday you were still too old.
Accompanied by the rustling of leaves
You stumble out of your forest.

You finally want to shudder
Of course, with lustful delight.
But you unleash black lightning on white sheets.
You want to revive without hesitation
To surrender yourself without limits.
But instead of love lyrics, you only reap scribbles.

When the muses do not see you,
In diffused light you fade away:
Every word suffocates in the bud and is falsified undigested.
No rose will bloom for you
In the great picking of thorns.
Your voice only whispers gibberish.

And now you wear sackcloth and ashes,
Tight knots in your hair.
You taste blood on your tongue,
Fleeing at your own risk.
Today you are already a boy,
Yesterday you were still too old.
Accompanied by the rustling of leaves
You stumble out of your forest.

Do you see the leaves falling?
And are you enticed by the scent of the bait?
You will claw yourself as a savior,
And throw yourself into the air.
Do you feel the intervals?
And soon the fall will come.
Like fog swirling in winter.
Your autumn was much too short.

And now you wear sackcloth and ashes,
Both suit you terribly well.
No, you do not want to hurt yourself,
But what is left for you without courage?
You hide from the nets,
While you dye the leaves.
You never escape their meshes,
And you never escape autumn.
