You are the soul, the beloved,

My God, who makes epochs and eras as He says,
The blessed nation,
This cannot be done to a Turk,
O great Turkish Nation,
You are the wise one, the veteran, the sister, the dervish,
You are the will that makes lands a homeland,
You are the master of the heart that makes crowds into a nation,
The enemy comes with games and play,
The enemy is insidious, the enemy is cruel,
Like a frog cooked over low heat,
They want to lull us to sleep,
The danger at our doorstep,
They want to paint our eyes so we don't see,
They want to comfort our hearts,
You are their problem,
You are the companion of humanity,
You are the brother of Sakarya, Dumlupinar,
The brother of Karahisar in the snow,
You are the blonde wolf who says they will leave as they came,
You are the millennia-old past,
The homeland that gathers in the house of the Republic,
The house is my nation,
My Turk, I apologize,
I made these lands a homeland,
They are waiting for you to say you are guilty,
Their tongues are like jackals,
A single-toothed spear,
