Foi quando enfrentei a primeira batalha, mo barra
Eu era criança e veio um babaca
Minha boneca caiu, minha saia arriava
Sua mão se passava e eu me questionava
O fique calada, obedeça os adultos
E aos seus pais não diga nada
Menina levada, não entendia o que se passava
Confusão, medo, inocência e minha estadia só se iniciava
Separação em casa e é rápido o tempo passa
E me foi imposto que eu não tinha direito a nada
Por ser pobre, feia, preta e mulher
Sempre me sobraram os restos
Minha revolta só crescia
Inconformismo me trouxe progresso
Minha dor que sempre estalava
Me deu uns atrasos mas não retrocessos
A poesia me salvou de todos os infernos

O pranto e o desespero seu sorriso escondeu e ninguém viu
Pegou os remédios de casa abriu
A sua frente e não sucumbiu
Ao desejo de se matar
Menina guerreira que resistiu
É foda, não se sentir bem na própria casa
Se espancada ou estuprada ou ter teu pai te apontando uma arma
E as suas amigas são as mesmas que debocham da sua cara
Ou o cara que tu amava te traia e nem disfarçava
Mas como se desfazer de toda a podridão?
Papel e caneta e redação soaram como uma solução
E mesmo em meio a tanto abuso de machismo e segregação
A poesia muito formosa se formava em seu coração

A whole world
Where evil has become a playground
A joke with hatred, everything is a wreck
Many mock your desperation
Don't be afraid
Since I was a little girl I grew up, and it was early
My parents worked, I played alone
That's when I faced the first battle, on the street
I was a child and a jerk came up
My doll fell, my skirt was ripped
His hand was touching me and I questioned myself
Be quiet, obey the adults
And don't tell your parents anything
A naughty girl, I didn't understand what was happening
Confusion, fear, innocence and my stay was just beginning
Separation at home, and time flies by
And I was imposed that I had no right to anything
For being poor, ugly, black, and a woman
I was always left with the scraps
My revolt only grew
Nonconformity brought me progress
My pain that was always cracking
Gave me delays but no setbacks
Poetry saved me from all the hells

Your tears and despair hid your smile and nobody saw
You took the medicine from home and opened it
In front of you and didn't succumb
To the desire to kill yourself
A warrior girl who resisted
It sucks to not feel good in your own home
To be beaten or raped or to have your father point a gun at you
And your friends are the same ones who mock your face
Or the guy you loved betrayed you and didn't even disguise it
But how do you get rid of all the rot?
Paper and pen and writing sounded like a solution
And even amidst so much abuse of machismo and segregation
The very beautiful poetry was forming in your heart

In the concrete jungle, I'm a princess in the
Babylon, I have the plague of a militant, my last name is hope
