La voie facile a tous ces putains de panneaux et de merdes,
des indications pour savoir où aller.
Et tu dois d’abord être mal à l’aise
avec ce que tu ressens pour toi-même,
avec cette voix dont beaucoup d’entre nous aiment fuir.
On l’a tous, on a tous cette voix qui dit : « Hé mec, tu sais,
tu te dégonfles un peu en ce moment,
tu es un peu mauviette en ce moment. »
Beaucoup d’entre nous disent : « D’accord, c’est bon,
c’est bon de se dire des mensonges. »
Alors tu dois d’abord faire face au vrai toi.
Le vrai moi, c’est David Goggins.
Le vrai moi, c’est un type qui te regarde en ce moment et qui te dit :
« Je ne veux pas être dans cette putain d’émission en ce moment
parce que je bégayais quand j’étais enfant
et j’ai peur de ça.
J’ai peur que dans une seconde, je vais commencer à bégayer
et à bredouiller
et que le monde entier va savoir que j’ai tous ces problèmes. »
Mais c’est là que je me dis : « OK, Goggins,
tu dois aller dans cette putain d’émission. »
C’est Goggins, Goggins est en train de dire :
« OK, David Goggins, tu es un mauviette, la vie t’a fait comme ça.
On ne peut pas vivre comme ça, on ne peut pas vivre dans la peur.
On ne peut pas vivre dans le jugement.
On ne peut pas avoir peur de ce que les gens qui me regardent en ce moment
disent de moi, on ne peut pas avoir peur de ça. »

« Allez vous faire foutre, vous tous qui ne m’aimez pas,
qui ne voulez pas… » Et cette personne arrive alors
parce que tu dois être David Goggins et dire :
« Mec, j’ai peur de ça, je suis foutu.
La vie m’a fait comme ça.
Je bégaie,
j’ai ces problèmes de lecture et d’écriture et
je suis gros et je ne suis pas sûr de moi. »
On doit faire face à ça dans cette pièce sombre.
Dans cette pièce sombre, c’est toi.
Mais dans cette obscurité, c’est là que tu dois créer un autre être humain
qui sort de cette pièce sombre
pour faire face à qui tu es.

Ce n’est pas comme si tu avais deux personnalités différentes.

presque comme cette cape de Superman, comme si j’étais
en train de devenir une personne différente,
une personne qui se fiche de tout,
qui se fiche d’être jugée, qui sait que je suis faible,
qui sait que j’ai peur,
qui dit : « Quoi que tu penses de moi, prends-le, je suis là. »
C’est Goggins.
Dans la pièce sombre, tu te confrontes à toi-même, tu réalises que tu veux être meilleur.
Tu réalises que tu ne veux plus être cette personne faible et peu sûre d’elle
avec tous ces problèmes que nous avons tous.
Les réseaux sociaux, pour moi, sont une excellente plateforme pour dire qui nous voulons être,
pas qui nous sommes.
