E i servi ammutolirono.
Il Re non lo capi.
La spada sguaino
E un colpo le vibro!
"Su avanti incamminiamoci.
Vi serva come monito!"
Ma il Re non lo raggiunse mai

The Eagle's Nest
Al Bano:
The King set out with four falcons
And his servants followed him
Along the steep paths
To the eagle's nest.
He reached the green pastures
And stopped among the trees,
Three days were missing
To the eagle's nest.
And there they bathed
Unaware of their virgin wings
In that clear stream,
They laughed, they played
And the King noticed them.
He pointed them out to the servants
And set the falcons free.
She cried and begged
Then she knelt at his feet
But the King was naked against the sun
And shouted: "Obey!
The King wants it!"
Six shields as a reward the King threw
And the servants applauded.
But she spat in his face
And the servants fell silent.
The King did not understand this.
He drew his sword
And struck her a blow!
"Come on, let's go.
Let it be a warning to you!"
But the King never reached there
The eagle's nest.
