Mi casa no presume, nobleza ni hidalguía
Custodian sus paredes el aura de mi nido
Donde no es necesario postigo y celosía
Para esconder las artes secretas de Cupido.

Mis logros son el fruto de un intenso trabajo
Y un algo de talento, un algo casi nada,
Después es su paciencia que firme y sin atajos
Transforma mis penumbras en claras alboradas.

No hay quien a mí me deba favores ni caudales
Tengo una sola deuda, le debo su ternura

The aura of my nest guards its walls

To hide the secret arts of Cupid.

My achievements are the fruit of intense work
And a little bit of talent, a mere trifle,
