Et moi, j'ai laissé un petit mot au pied du sapin
À l'attention du vrai Père Noêl, avant d'aller me coucher
Il disait ceci

"Cher Père Noël
Je souhaiterais annuler ma commande de jouets si c'est encore possible
Et j'aimerais comme cadeau que vous trouviez du travail et un logement
Au monsieur qui dort sur le canapé
C'est un copain

At the end of the meal, we settled our host on the couch
Pépette fell asleep, wrapped in his cape
And I left a little note at the foot of the tree
To the attention of the real Santa Claus, before going to bed
It said this

"Dear Santa Claus
I would like to cancel my order for toys if it's still possible
