Crecí en la capital de un país que estaba perseguido/

Vi como familias de amigos por poco se extinguieron/
Privilegios del dinero pocos consiguieron.
Quince años jugando junto a la muerte/
Tal vez mi padre y madre con su amor me hicieron fuerte.
Las calles me perseguían y yo era feliz/
Sin darme cuenta me convertía en un aprendiz,
De vicios y mañas que no aportan nada/
Y ver el rostro de mi madre esperando en la madrugada/
Eran peor que un golpe, una puñalada/
Era observar en frente una mirada maltratada.
El rap estaba ahí y por el yo me la jugué/

A veces me deprimo y veo en frente todo gris/
Y peor aún estando yo lejos de mi país,

My Melancholy

I grew up in the capital of a country that was persecuted/
Pointed at by the world for its crooks and bandits/
Among the Latin environment of partying and noise.
Between the love for football, family and friends/
Without prejudice, childhood lived between buildings/
That hid between its walls a thousand cries and sacrifices.
I saw how families of friends almost became extinct/
Few achieved the privileges of money.
Fifteen years playing alongside death/
Perhaps my father and mother with their love made me strong.
The streets chased me and I was happy/
Without realizing it, I was becoming an apprentice,
Of vices and tricks that contribute nothing/
And seeing my mother's face waiting in the early morning/
They were worse than a blow, a stab wound/

Rap was there and I played it for it/
