Watching the sphinxes weep
Morbid poems begin to proliferate
A seraphic scent of hydra and boil
From that time of passion defiled
And thus, in the cold, I had a vision
Of a somber angel in the room
Oh, cruel moment, I must depart
Smiling at last as I descend into the abyss...
