In autumn's midst, 'mongst yellowing scenes
Dimmed now from the summer's sheen
Blushing from the shortened day
I'll count what was achieved, and what went astray

And I'll beseech you, 'fore I sleep
I think you do the same, you see
For all we have, that we may
Find each other once again, anew
