Tout doucement se réveilla
Faisant toc-toc dans sa poitri-ne

En s'mariant ell-e connu l'amour
Elle connu, aussi ça c'est idiot
L'affreuse peur de penser qu'un beau jour
Son amour puiss-e tomber à l'eau

(Remarquer que ça ne faisait rien puisque il était maître-nageur, mais enfin, on n'prend jamais trop de précautions, n'est-ce pas?)

C'est pour quoi à son mari l'matin
Elle disait mi-figue mi-raisin
Souviens-toi et prends garde au grand bain
Elle était jalouse, on n'y peut rien

Mais le destin était l'plus fort
Et le jour mêm-e sur le bord
Une autr-e petit-e gamine
Glissa soudain dans la pisci-ne

Aussitôt le maîtr-e-nageur
N'écoutant qu'son d'voir et son cœur
Fit un plongeon dans la piscine

Pour sauver l'autre petite gami-ne
Mais alors sa femme survint
S'écriant je l'savais bien
Et pour noyer son chagrin
Elle plongea dans le grand bain

Hélas le cœur du maîtr-nageur
Ne pu sout'nir les deux efforts
Ainsi moururent dans la piscine

The Lifeguard

The lifeguard was so handsome
When she saw him, her heart immediately
Leapt into her chest
The little girl was smitten
But she was too close to the edge
And her little heart jumped so hard
That she slipped into the pool

(SPLASH!)

There she was in the water, the poor little girl

She was struggling in the big pool
Between life and death
So the lifeguard
Suddenly dived into the pool
