O meu esporte favorito é um baile bueno
Aonde escuto o sofreno duma cordiona baguala
E eu me destaco, marcando firme o compasso,
Forçando a curva do braço com a mais vistosa da sala.

Mas também gosto dum domingo de carreira
E alguma festa campeira pra me luzir bem pachola
Chego assoprando e embalando um redomão,
Que ali no correr da mão, deixo sentado na cola.

Ando pilchado como manda o figurino,
Mas nada muito granfino, apenas pelo capricho
E o meu cavalo, sempre gordo e bem tosado,
Conservo bem encilhado desde o buçal ao rabicho.

Quando eu morrer, me velem numa mangueira,
E me enterrem bem na porteira, faço este pedido em vida,
E não se assustem se n'alguma madrugada
Eu gritar com a cavalhada na hora da recolhida.

No meu velório, quero farra, dança e trago,
