مثل ما خذته الهي من امامي
خذه من قلبي وتفكيري ونومي وصحوتي
مانشغل به لا ولا افتن به في ديني ودنيتي
واخلف فراقه علي ربي الهي فرحتي
ربي الطف بي وصد الشوق عني والحنين
و أمر النسيان يمحي كل ذكرات السنين
رَبَّيْ أَلْطُف بِيَ وَصَدّ الشَوْق عَنِّي وَالحَنِين
و أَمْر النَسِيّانِ يَمَّحِي كُلّ ذكرات السِنَّيْنِ
و لا تلاقينا وقال اهلا ارد اهلين
مين ماعرفك والعذر منك والسموح
انت بايع جرح ومالي بالجروح
مَثَلَ ما خذته أُلَهِّي مِن إِمامَيْ
خُذْهُ مِن قَلْبَيْ وَتَفْكِيرِي وَنَوْمِيّ وَصَحْوتِي
نَوْمِيّ وَصَحْوتِي نَوْمِيّ وَصَحْوتِي

O Divine

O Divine, as You have taken him away from before me
Remove him from my heart, my thoughts, my sleep, and my wakefulness
Let me not be preoccupied with him, nor let him tempt me in my religion and my worldly life
And make up for his separation with joy, O my Divine
My Lord, be kind to me and repel the longing and yearning from me
