On dit qu'la forêt c'est l'poumon d'la terre en pleine ablation
On se coupe le souffle, qu'elle souffre ou non d'un cancer

S'il voyait son entourage se faire abattre à tour de rôle
S'il comprenait la rage qui fait pas juste pleurer les saules

Faisant face à la vérité
Si, comme les feuilles, rougissait, l'homme
Menaçant la continuité
Si l'homme était fait en bois, serait-il plus sensible aux arbres?
Se sentirait-il plus responsable des coupes à blanc, s'il est coupable?
Couché sous l'arbre, l'avenir est sombre
Les arbres s'effondrent, la forêt tombe
À force de tondre, les terres s'inondent
J'vois les décombres sortir de l'ombre
Qu'on prenne de l'arbre ce qu'on doit prendre
Qui peut comprendre c'qu'il peut t'apprendre
Se tenir debout, se serrer les coudes
Affronter tout jusqu'à la foudre
Qu'il soit feuillu ou conifère
Un mode de vie exemplaire
Les pieds bien fixés en terre
Qu'il soit en groupe ou solitaire
Vise les sommets pour devenir grand
Sommeille l'hiver, vit au printemps
Vers le soleil, cherche la lumière
Toujours plus haut, toujours plus fier...

They say the forest is Earth's lung, undergoing ablation,
