Carta Pa Mi Chari
A Letter to My Chari
This is the story of a seafood vendor from a coastal town, who stays with his daughter, because his wife is working away, and he writes her letters.
The problem is money... don't worry that we'll make it to the end of the month...
Yo te compro lo que quieras.
I'll buy you whatever you want.
The little girl is with her grandmother... she says she wants to be like her mother and pretends to scrub the stairs.
She talks about you a lot, so that she doesn't think...
Yo me cojo a mi chochete y nos vamos pal mercao,
I'll take my little one and we'll go to the market,
To sell the little nets that her daddy has fished,
They are bought by a couple who pay very well
And a few of the bars that I used to frequent.
Yo me cojo a mi chochete y nos vamos pal mercao,
I'll take my little one and we'll go to the market,
To sell the little nets that her daddy has fished,
If you could see how she sells, you'd fall over
Esta si va a ser la que nos saque de pobre a los dos.
This one is going to be the one to get us out of poverty.
Sometimes in the mornings... I go to your sister's...
So that she can give me some croquettes... the ones that take the fear away
No wonder people say... what a smiling little girl... as she sucks on her fingers
Unintentionally he has become aware of the details of people, although I prefer not to talk
I don't want to get sad and silly, what I want is to see you soon
Y a ve si echamos un ratito... que es que se me va a olvidar.
And to see if we can have a little time together... because I'm going to forget.
There's no other news, from the south of the truths,
That I wait for you and I love you a lot.
Just for that this Monday I'll make the deposit, which is my
Día y te quería conviá.
Day and I wanted to invite you.
The problem is money... don't worry that we'll make it to the end of the month...
Yo me cojo a mi chochete y nos vamos pal mercao,
I'll take my little one and we'll go to the market,
To sell the little nets that her daddy has fished,
They are bought by a couple who pay very well
And a few of the bars that I used to frequent.
