Annapurnaa si daani ho gayi

Her Brij's story has been told,
For scholars and poets, her tale has been extolled.
Without Radha, Vrindavan would be naught,
Her flute would have no soul.
None would know the language of love,
Nor see Krishna as the lord above.
Behold the priestess of love, without a groom,
She's Krishna's bride, forever in bloom.
Radha, beloved of Shyam,
Without her tinkling anklets, Mohan would not have danced so grand.
Awaking from sleep, he'd call her name,
And beckon her with his finger's flame.
Has sandalwood such fragrance, has honey such sweetness?
A dollop of butter, and the milkmaid becomes,
A goddess, generous and wise.
