Draussn auf da Strassen geht a Fackelzug

Plötzlich wach i auf und lieg daham im Bett

The Old Wessely - Live

When the old Wessely sits in the tavern
He likes to talk about the past
Except that for him it's not over yet
Because he dreams of a new time

His friends call out "Bravo Wessely"

And until nobody's laughing in the tavern anymore
Fists are shaking at the entrance door
And now a young man comes in
And he says: "Where's the old Wessely?
He's supposed to be our new leader!"
And old Wessely jumps up on the table
He bangs his heels together like a leader
And the plump landlady says: "I knew it

Nobody can do the Hitler salute as well as you!"
Suddenly I wake up and am lying in bed at home
But it's time to get up anyway
Down in front of the front door there's a drunkard
And I hear him screaming "Heil Hitler"
Get up, get dressed, go outside, punch him in the face
That's all I want to do

Because I'm so sick to my stomach with rage
