From a limb of Yggdrasil I hang
Gungnir my spear through my side
The deep wisdom it sang
All it's secrets I must find
And so at death's door I rang
Day and night for nine

Peering deep into the well
To myself I sacrifice
Mystery to dispel
Myself to myself I will suffice

And from the vastness of the deep
It opened up and gave to me
Of great knowledge I did reap
All it's wisdom I now see
And now the runes to keep
For all from the tree

Hidden runes shalt thou seek
Of might and power
Thou hath graved

Peering deep into the well
To myself I sacrifice
Mystery to dispel
Myself to myself I will suffice

Fertile I was impregnated
Of wisdom I bore fruit
Word to word I found words
In victory I cried
And lifted the runes
