Die letzte U-Bahn ist um diese Zeit schon lange weg.

Ich würde dich ja nach Hause fahren mit meinem Wagen,
Hätten wir beide etwas weniger Alkohol im Magen, will sagen
Im Blut. Ich hab' total vergessen, darauf zu achten...

Du nimmst ein Taxi. Okay. Aber sag', ist das nicht teuer?
Und Taxifahrer sind mir persönlich ja nicht so ganz geheuer.
Die wollen von einer schönen Frau wie dir doch nur das Eine.
Sag, hast du keine Angst, nachts im Taxi ganz alleine?

Soll ich nicht besser mitkommen? ...Ach nee, das wär nicht optimal, denn
Ich hab' nicht genügend Knete, meine Rückfahrt zu bezahlen.
Dann müßt' ich bei dir übernachten, also bei dir daheim.
Im Grunde könntest du dann ja auch eigentlich gleich in meiner Wohnung bleim'.

Wie? Du könntest mir was leihen für's Taxi? Och, ich bin gerührt!
Aber nee, laß mal. Das wird jetzt echt zu kompliziert.
Es wäre, wenn wir das ganze einmal nüchtern betrachten,
Für uns beide am einfachsten

Du würdest bei mir übernachten. Im Ernst.
Anstatt daß du dich jetzt unachtsam entfernst,
Schlag' ich vor, du bleibst hier,
Und hoff', du kommst mit mir

Du köntest auf dem Sofa schlafen. Das ist aber recht unbequem.
Ich würd' ja auf dem Sofa schlafen, Doch ich hab' da ein Problem
Mit meinem Rücken. Drum, bevor sich unsere Bandscheiben verkeilen,
Schlage ich vor, daß wir uns lieber mein Bett gemeinsam teilen.

Das ist groß genug für zwei, wenn wir ein bißchen zusammen rücken.
Und wir könnten darin auch prima gemeinsam frühstücken.
Ich brächte dir dein Frühstück ans Bett und gestatte
Mir dich aufzuwecken mit einer schönen Morgen-Latte-Macchiato.

Was gibt es schöneres am Morgen
Als den Duft von frischem Kaffee? Gut, den müßt' ich noch besorgen,
Sowie Brötchen und Croissants und was sonst noch angebracht ist
- Für den Fall,

Daß du bei mir übernachtest. Das wär' fein.
Hier ist es schöner als du dachtest. Drum sag nicht nein.
Ich würd' mich wirklich freuen,
Dich hier bei mir zu betreuen.
Du kannst dir sicher sein:
Du wirst es nicht bereuen!

Und die Moral von der Geschicht':
Mit Logik alleine überzeugt man Frauen nicht.

This evening here with you has been truly wonderful.
It's a shame that you want to leave already. I really hope we'll see

Oh man, poor you having to go out into the cold darkness!
Come on, I'll walk you to the subway... oh, never mind, there's no point.
The last subway left ages ago at this hour.

I would drive you home in my car,
if we both had a little less alcohol in our stomachs, I mean
in our blood. I totally forgot to watch it...
Ah, come on, if you want,

You can also stay overnight at my place. I mean,
then we wouldn't be so alone tonight.

You'll take a taxi. Okay. But tell me, isn't that expensive?
And personally, I don't quite trust taxi drivers.
They only want one thing from a beautiful woman like you.

Shouldn't I come with you? ... Oh no, that wouldn't be ideal because
I don't have enough dough to pay for my return trip.
Then I'd have to stay overnight at your place, so at your home.
Basically, you could just as well stay at my place.

What? You could lend me something for the taxi? Oh, I'm touched!
But no, let it be. This is getting really complicated now.
If we look at this whole thing soberly,
It would be easiest for both of us

If you would spend the night at my place. Seriously.
Instead of you carelessly leaving now,
I suggest you stay here,
And I hope you agree with me

You could sleep on the sofa. But it's quite uncomfortable.
I would sleep on the sofa, but I have a problem
with my back. So, before our intervertebral discs get messed up,
I suggest we rather share my bed.

It's big enough for two, if we cuddle up a bit.
And we could also have breakfast together in it.
I would bring you breakfast in bed and allow
myself to wake you up with a nice morning latte macchiato.

What could be nicer in the morning
than the smell of fresh coffee? Okay, I'd still have to get that,
as well as bread rolls and croissants and whatever else is appropriate
- just in case

you spend the night at my place. That would be nice.
It's nicer here than you thought. So don't say no.
I would be really happy
to have you here with me.
You can be sure:
You won't regret it!
