El lema dels tronats.

I a qui em digui que sóc un drogat,
Un bandarra i un tronat,
Jo l'engegaré al carall,
Que no estic pas mort i enterrat,
I que es quedi amb el detall
Que una cosa és un cavall
I una altra la marihuana:

Herbs and Fermented Delights

As a child, herbs and flowers were my delight,
I cared for them with all my might.
Perhaps it's a bit of a craze,
But I still adore them, even in my old age.
Especially marijuana, my dear,
I water it and tend to it, banishing all fear.
It lives beside a geranium,
Admiring the Mediterranean, so handsome.

If ecstasy I find when I drink,
It stems from when I was a merry young lad,
Hiding in my grandfather's cellar, I would clink,
Until I'd had a hearty swig,
Floating in the divine perfume,
That emanates from that delicious wine,
Which has so often filled my cup,
Which has so often made me stumble and sup.

Herbs and fermented delights,
They're our guiding lights,
The motto of the slightly mad.

And to those who dare to call me a drug addict,
A hooligan and a misfit,
I'll tell them to go to hell,
For I'm not dead and buried, as they may think I dwell,
And I'll leave them with this detail,
That a horse is not the same as the greenest plant,
And marijuana is a healthy herb, no rant:
A steady grass for people who aren't so adamant.
