今も冷蔵庫に貼ってあって
あの頃は気づかなかったけど
いつも僕を気遣ってくれてたね

いつの間に増えた白髪は
僕がかけてきた心配やら苦労の数なのだろうか

「この方が身体にいいから」と皮がついたままの野菜は
硬いけど優しい味がした

「ところでアンタまだタバコは吸ってんの」
食後の恒例の小言が始まる
いつも感謝してんだけど毎回最後はこうなって
ついイライラしてしまうんだ

〜 宅配です 〜
数日後大量の食材が段ボールで届いて
見よう見まねであのカレーを作ってみる

いただきます
あの味、温かさは全然再現できないよ
近い内にまた食べに帰りたくなった

かみしめます
おかげでまたしばらくは頑張れそうな気がするよ
いつかは言わなきゃ ちゃんとありがとうって

Let's Eat!

Living on my own, getting used to this life
I'm going home for the first time in a while, to the house where I grew up
As soon as I open the front door, I notice the smell
My favorite curry is cooking

Even though I've never said I like it or want to eat it
It's like you can see right through me

The taste is bland, and it's not very good
But when I'm feeling down, it's the only thing I want to eat

Whenever I see supplements at the drugstore
I remember that nutrition chart
It's still on the refrigerator
I didn't realize it at the time
But you were always looking out for me

Where did all those gray hairs come from
Are they from all the worries and troubles I've given you?

They're tough, but they taste so good

“By the way, are you still smoking?”
It's the usual after-dinner conversation
I'm always grateful, but it always ends like this
And I always end up getting annoyed

A few days later, a huge box of food arrives
I try to make the curry, following the instructions

The taste, the warmth, I can't recreate it at all
I want to go home again soon and eat it

I savor the taste
