Yo nací en un conventillo
De la calle Olavarría,
Y me acunó la armonía
De un concierto de cuchillos.

Me embroco en un guay fulero,

Celular, biaba y gayola;

Manyando minga'e solfeo
Y, aunque me tengo por feo,
Colgué mi fotografía
Donde está la galería
De los ases del choreo.

Hoy que estoy en los cuarenta,
En el debe de la vida,
Chapé una mina raída

The Tenement

I was born in a tenement
On Olavarría Street,
And harmony lulled me to sleep
