Hasta que pues en una, una de las tantas quiebras que el tuvo
Lo obligó a venderla

Mi padre llegó de Granada, Antioquia en el año de 1926
Y llegó a la vereda de La Albania en el municipio de Calarcá
Allí contrajo matrimonio con mi mamá Fidelina
Y en La Albania nacieron los dos mayores hermanos míos
José Jota y Francisco
Luego cuando la carretera de Armenia a Caicedonia llegó por La Albania
Mi padre que tenía ahí una fonda
Resolvió subirse más hacia la cordillera
Entonces buscó el camino viejo que venía de Pijao hacia Caicedonia
Y en un ramal que salía para Rio Verde
Entonces allí mi papá compró un solar
A don Luis Felipe González,
Construyó su primera fonda y su primera casa
Y allí siguió viviendo hasta, casi hasta el resto de sus días, no?
De allí vino la idea de mi padre de fundar un pueblo
A él le gustó mucho ese alto allá...
